Description
With the funding of Taiwan e-Learning and Digital Archives Program (TELDAP), the National Museum of Natural Science has digitized and shared specimen data on fungi, plants, insects, mollusks, echinoderms, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, dolphins and whales, and other mammals. Some geological information is also provided. The insect specimens include Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, and Hemiptera. The plant specimens include low-elevation plants and vascular plants in Taiwan. The specimen collection time is between 1950 and 2009; the main locality is Taiwan. The lepidopteran insect has the largest number of specimens, followed by order Urticales of plants. A total of 41,151 records have been exported to TaiBIF.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 41,151 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.
