“The National Checklist of Taiwan” is provided and maintained by TaiCoL (Catalogue of Life in Taiwan, https://taicol.tw). The database TaiCoL, formly named TaiBNET, was established in 2003, is in charge of collecting species names found in Taiwan. Now, there have been more than 60 thousand of species curated in TaiCoL, and will be increasing through the discovering and studying by local experts and international cooperation. TaiCoL is one of the services supported by TaiBIF (Taiwan Biodiversity Information Facility, national node of GBIF in Taiwan, http://taibif.tw) and funded by Taiwanese government.
