Description
林務局鑑於既有資訊未能完全反映現況，特別是國有林事業區以外之林地森林覆蓋，長期以來均缺乏整合的資訊，同時為建立全國性完整調查體系與資訊更新機制，使我國森林資源資訊得予國際接軌，自2008年6月開始進行第四次森林資源調查工作，期望能達到瞭解全國森林面積、調查全國森林資源現狀、建立森林資源監測系統和推估全國森林碳吸存量等目標。
