Pteris fauriei group (Pteridaceae) occurs widely in Eastern Asia. More than 15 species with similar morphology and limited genetic variation are supposed to be involved in hybridization. Samples of the Pteris fauriei group were collected from Eastern Asia, from Japan, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, to Malaysia.
