Geographical coordinates and inaccuracy in meters produced by "Geolocate". Data curation using Excel and OpenRefine. Identification validated by the Gbif Backbone Taxonomy. Dataset standardized and checked with the tool "Data Validator" of GBIF before publishing. India, mainly Western Ghats. The herbarium is a collection of botanical observations associated with sample collection and conservation. It has not been built with a precise sampling method but results instead of various methods put together. The identification has been realized and checked by trained botanists. The dataset has been curated as per Gbif recommendations. Scientists from both the French Institute of Pondicherry and the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda have studied this global hotspot of biodiversity for decades, resulting in the collection of important data organized in as-yet inaccessible databases.
